KUALA LUMPUR: The Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia is hosting an economic dialogue on July 26 to focus on the present challenges facing the Malaysian economy.
Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz will be delivering a keynote address at the event followed by a dialogue with Chinese industrial leaders, represented by LBS Bina Bhd executive chairman and The Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia president Tan Sri Lim Hock San.
The dialogue aims to provide a platform for the Finance Ministry to amongst others share and present the latest fiscal position of the country and the measures in helping the Rakyat and businesses.
It is also aimed for Lim to address challenges faced by the business community. The moderated dialogue is expected to be attended by over 300 invited guests of the organisers.,
“This economic dialogue shows the commitment of the government in working with the private sector and business community in addressing the challenges faced by the business community and the country on a whole.
“With the direct involvement of the Finance Minister in a conducive dialogue, we will be able to share with the government the concerns of our members in this endemic phase of the economy with rising interest rates, inflation, shortage of labours, financing difficulties, just to name a few of the challenges,” organising chairman Datuk Alvin Tee said in a statement.
